u are such a cutie!! great idea…i love old vintage gift cards but this just gave me an idea of what i can do with them…a lil box & a few embellishments (lace,beads,etc) would make a very cute trinket box!! thanks for the idea!!

a rectangular card …
a rectangular card will not work with this method. You could always try to cut the rectangle into a square. but make sure that your card design remains in the middle of the square.

hi, a rectangular card is usable but it would get slightly tricky without modifications. so i suggest cut it into a square. u might want to arrange it so when u cut u still have the main pattern in the middle of the square. (only if you’re bothered really)

it does make alot …
it does make alot of fun specially with all the season holiday greeting cards coming your way this time of year. you can cut out a piece of felt cloth or velvet and stick it on the bottom and it will look much more presentable.

I have tons of card …
I have tons of card from birthdays, anniversaries, etc., Now I know what to do with them. I realized I have cut rectangle shaped cards into a square in order to achieve this, can I use this to make a rectangle shape box?
I put my daughters little earrings in these boxes, we made a couple right after watching this tutorial. Thank you for sharing!
