Im 19 and planning on getting something for my mom

What she doesn’t want — candles, flowers, anything that plugs in, anything that cleans anything else.

What she does want — things that make her day easier. Offer to take her car for an oil change and you pay for the oil change. If it won’t freak her out, buy Merry Maids for a day.

Think about something she has wanted to have done around the house like… forever. Paint the bathroom? Re-cover a chair? Clean out the garage? Replace the weber grill that is about to fall apart?

A big winner for me was always to plant new flowers. I would go and get 3 or 4 flats of flowers and plant them all over the place. It’s a day’s worth of sweaty work but pays big dividends.

And, since I’m a massage therapist, of course I would say buy Mom a one-hour full body massage from a nationally-certified, licensed massage therapist!
