Remember the only people who benefit from wars are the corporations the politicians, and the rich. The ones who die our the poor the working class and the children. This all around the world. Worker of the world unite against the vile corp. and politicians. remember, it is always easy to send someone els’s child to war, not your own.

Touching and inspiring are the words in.
The Mothers Day Proclamation by Julia Ward Howe .
I sat in contemplation after watching it. visions of mothers from all walks of life flashed through my mind in all kinds of situations I can imagine
    Mothers love knows no bounds
As only a man who has become a father knows what it means to be a father, so does a woman who has given birth to a child knows what it means to be a mother.
    Happy Mothers Day Moms.

  13. Asteriks Says:

    But of course, it’s …
But of course, it’s MUCH easier to embrace peace and condemn war when we tend to close our eyes on the horrors (*real* body-mangling torture, executions, mass killings, the holocaust, etc…) occurring *within* tyrannies and dictatorships, *away* from the media-accompanied professional armies and *away* from the media-covered battlefields…

  14. Asteriks Says:

In order to live ” …
In order to live “in peace”, should British and American sons not have gone into battle to fight German and Japanese sons in the 1940s, then (or Baathist sons in 2003)?

Thereby allowing the German sons and the Japanese sons (ie, Nazis and Imperialists) to continue the murder of innocent, unarmed sons (and daughters) of civilians in the countries they occupied? How ’bout the Baathists’ sons taking civilians to Saddam’s killing fields?

That may not be the peace we want, ladies (and gents)…

  15. ArtGoddess8 Says:

    Support our troops, …
Support our troops, bring them HOME NOW!!!

Also, support HR 3835 to resore Constitutional balance and protect our soldiers and citizens…

  17. GalacticQuest Says:

    How is it “funny” …
How is it “funny” that they want their husbands to come home in one piece? The best way to support the troops is to oppose the war.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!!!!! Pass this around on three different videos and you will become famous in just a week!!! THIS IS NOT A LIE!!!! How do you think Paris became a famous singer all of a sudden? Because she did this. So if you pass this around three times in different videos, you will become famous in just a week. HINT this is no ordinary chain letter, this is for real!!! DO IT!!!

Thank you! I always thought mother’s day was a creation of the card companies. This is a beautiful video.

  24. pburto Says:

    (continued) The …
(continued) The term “CONGRESS” implies creation of a politically empowered body, and I believe exclusion of any group from a political body would be detrimental.

  25. pburto Says:

    Thank you, I just …
Thank you, I just viewed it. It’s a fine video, acknowledging the importance of fatherhood and calling for donations.

I know that the mother’s day video quotes Julie Ward Howe, and I understand the context in which she originally suggested those words. But: “I earnestly ask that a general CONGRESS OF WOMEN without limit of nationality may be appointed and held at someplace deemed most convenient…” These words propose and suggest exclusion of males from discussion.
