What stance should a church take on holidays such as Fathers day? It is a secular holiday that was created by a group of traders. Has nothing to do with religion. Honor thy mother and father is 365 days a year not 1 day a year. For the sake of the consciences of members of church should it be celebrated by feasting and having special services dances? If there should be something, should it not be something outside the church being Christlike, father to the fatherless or some other good deeds for others? Other religions are becoming more strict on matters such as these. Why not Christians. I think its time to renew our minds by not following the world. Individual celebration of fathers day? Is that ok. But not for church? I need feedback. Im still developing my Christian worldview here. Any Muslims reading this? What is the stance in Islam for this day?

I do not see anything wrong with celebrating a day put aside for mothers, fathers, grand mothers, grand fathers, SOME of those people get nothing every day, why deny them this one day a year to feel a little special ??? go in peace….. God bless
