Now a days it is very defficult to manage the time according to our needs and prefferences. In such busy situations is it right to waste the time for selecting the greetings and gifts to our lovable's. Because the thing is that to our father/ mother should not be limited for a single day it should be done at each and every moment of our life and forever, it should not seems as a formality. Please share your views ………..

i agree with you 100%. That is why we don't celebrate "mother's/father's" day since there shouldn't be a particular day to "thank" or appreciate your parents as they give love unconditionally and each and everyday of our daily lives. There is no one day in the year one could make up the love of the parent just by giving them a little present. I though personally thing the reason for "mother's/father's" day is commercial so companys can make money out of those days…and make people fool of themselves by buying expensive things. You should remember your parents all the time and can give them gifts through out the year rather than birthdays or days like these…same goes for lovers and friendship days…etc

I'm glad I have my parents every moment of the day. I see how hard it is to live and I hope I can live like they do when I get old enough to go out on my own. But I hope they'll be there for me if I get stuck so I am always grateful to them. I'm not dumb and think I know all things cuz I don't.

I had heard that "Hallmark" created most of those holidays in order to sell more cards. For the longest time there was no "Grandparents Day" and I remember I was suprised the first time I heard it. And now we have "Bosses Day", "Secretary Day", "Sweetest Day". If theres a month that doesn't sell very many cards it seems like another special day shows up.

Holidays, "Holy Days" were originally established for captured non-believers in Christianity to have days of worship similar to their previous beliefs in order to get them to accept the new religion being shoved down their throats. You see, those individuals use to praise each day, and every moment for their Gods, to keep them pleased and un-angered. They gave them their undivided attention, praised the moon, the stars, the seas, and anything under natures control. So Holy Days needed to re-sculpture their intentions and direct them towards a male God. When they worshiped women as fertile gods, they retrained them to worship Mother's Day instead. When they worshiped fertility from the strong belief in rabbits, who are powerful multipliers, they made a Holy Day of Easter to worship Jesus instead. When they worshipped the Sun and all its power of substance, they changed it to a day to worship the birth of The Son.
Is such still needed today? No, the majority are so brainwashed they don't need these days of conditioning any longer. When they start to slip from this control they usually are preached to in church, on TV, or by the "good" dedicated Christian next door.

Well I think that keeping your self restricted to a particular day to show love is stupidity. But you should understand the spirit. You celebrate other various occasions why not mother's or father's day? We should love our parents every moment of our life but celebrating this love on a special day feels good. Imagine your daughter or son gives you a very Strong hug and say "I LOVE YOU DAD, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY". When my daughter said it this time, I felt like flying in the air …….

You are absolutely right but life just happens & we look back in retrospect & regret not making opportunities to make these things happen. I think these particular theme days are a good opportunity to focus on the important people in our lives - it makes most of us, who care, stop & do something special. Although it is commercialised, the media do remind us of these special celebrations. It is up to the individual as to how to celebrate them. I don't agree with the commercialisation of mothers day,etc but i do really enjoy the handmade cards, handpicked flowers & back scratches from my children & partner on mothers day, it makes me feel special & good at being a mum. I feel christmas is really a celebration of children more than Jesus, but that sits well with me - the little cherubs deserve to be spoiled.
