As a mother I think it is alright to say that to everyone, thank you on behalf of those mothers who cannot see or speak to their children today for whatever reason. Good question and a nice thought!

It is Steve, it’s very kind and thoughtful of you to suggest it.
May I too wish all mums everywhere "Happy Mother’s Day" and offer a comforting hug to all those who would love to be able to wish the same to a ‘mum’ but for whatever reason are unable to do so.

Mother’s Day = American-type Mother’s Day which is in May…it’s in May in Australia too

    Mothering Sunday = Britain.

Mothering Sunday is about mothers and babies and firstborn calves and the the first lambs - in Spring….church festival…

Mother’s Day is about commercial things, I always thought, similar to Father’s Day in September. It’s about mother’s and greeting cards etc.,…..

Either way it’s about the most important people in the community..!!..
Answer to Poll/ Survey…Aye, Aye! ….and in May, more specifically, to my own sisters, sisters-in-law, and nieces (my own wonderful mother is dead). But it isn’t fair but I can’t help getting a bit of a giggle out of the thought of what they will suffer on Mother’s Day.

…….eager youngsters specially making up breakfast, putting it on a tray and proudly marching in to Mum’s bedroom at six in the morning. If milk in the cereal bowl was spilt, if Dad was a bit hasty when woken up, the danger of the little ones bursting into tears after all their trouble…if Mummy was not as enthusiastic about her chrysanths being picked as she could have been - more tears…..it was the thought that counted…..but, oh dear…Mother’s Day was NOT the favourite day of my own mother….

All the same, absolutely yes, it’s grand to say Happy Mother’s Day!…
