both my sons ages 22 and 27 texted me a happy mothers day not a call but a text should i be upset or greatful?

I think they should have called but, yes, be thankful you have children at all to text you. My dogs don't know how to talk or text. :) Happy Mother's Day to you! (Maybe they plan to call you later?) I guess it's just the darn technology in this day and age. Let them know you'd love to hear their voice on mom's day next time you talk to them!

No. A real card or at least a real phone call but text is better than nothing.

    Happy mother's day

Seeing how old they are it's a kind gesture to say Happy Mother's Day. But texting was not a good idea. It implies that they are too busy to do it for real.

How rude! Texting your mom Happy Mother's Day! Unless, they were busy or something, that's understandable. But, at least a phone call! No one is too busy to not call and appreciate their own mothers and wish them a good day!

Be grateful that your kids care. Don't be upset at them for not sending a card, they do have their own lives and mothers should respect them even when they don't get credit for being nurturing mothers.

yeah its good my mom loved it considering mailing her a card now cost like $3 for a card and $1 for stamp plus its something you wrote not someone else

Be grateful because there are a LOT of moms out there that didn't get that much! And be thankful that you still have your sons alive and healthy enough to be inconsiderate little twerps who send texts rather than cards and flowers because a lot of moms out there would give anything to have their sons back…self absorbed or not.

I'm a mom, but I'm not really keen on this holiday. I never was, but I hate it more now that I'm missing my daughter's whole childhood and only spend maybe 20 minutes a day with her. Thanks to a lousy job with no hope of a good one in the near future, it makes me appreciate her presence even more than ever…and every moment we get is mother's day to me. Like, yesterday, miraculously they cancelled our Saturday overtime. I got to go to her coach pitch (baseball) game, and then we ate nachos and chicken sandwiches from the concession stand. That wa the best "mother's day" gift I ever got…even if we DID both end up sick from the crummy concession stand food! :)

But yeah…be grateful. Guys are kind of dorky that way. At least they showed SOME sort of attention.
